Daesung Jung is a Staff Engineer at the Mechatronics R&D center of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. He has worked in the semiconductor field and solved lots of electrostatic issues related to the semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In addition, he trained many field staffs to recognize and identify the ESD related problems at a manufacturing field and developed several documents to raise the level of ESD control compliance with international standards.

Daesung Jung has a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from POSTECH in Pohang, South Korea. He enjoys many kinds of sports, learning foreign languages and spending time with his family.

Dale Fuller has spent most of his career working as an Automation Controls Engineer.  In 2005 he became an ESD Staff Engineer at Seagate Technology in Longmont, Colorado.  He then moved on to Medtronic as a contract Principal Controls Engineer who also performs ESD Process Qualifications and ESD Audits of Contract Manufacturers.

Dale earned his B.S.E.E. from the University of Colorado in 1982.

Dao Duy Luan, is working at Systech Technology and Trading JSC. (Vietnam), in charge of Engineering Department and Business Developing.He is graduated from Hanoi University of Technology as an Automation Engineer.           

Before joining Systech, he mainly worked at Canon Vietnam, at the position of Product Engineer.

Mr. Luan become member of ESDA from 2015, and continue to accumulate ESD knowledge.

He is now actively working to increase awareness on ESD for factories in Vietnam, and to promote for the formation of ESD community in Vietnam.

David received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1989. He worked as a Project Engineer for Owens Corning in Amarillo Texas, developing automation systems and improving manufacturing processes. He currently works for B&W Technical Services, LLC., at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo Texas. His responsibilities include characterizing and mitigating ESD issues in the Pantex operating environments.

David E. Swenson retired from 3M after 35 years of service in 2003.  The majority of his career involved electrostatic investigation, solutions to static problems, and related new product development.  After retirement, Swenson and his wife, Geri, established Affinity Static Control Consulting, LLC, to offer electrostatic solutions to industry. He has been a member of the ESD Association since 1984 and has served as Symposium General Chairman, Sr. Vice President (twice), President (1998 and 1999), and has been elected to the Board of Directors for 5 terms. A long term member of the Standards Committee and Working Group Chair for several activities, Swenson has authored or co-authored numerous technical papers on ionization, packaging materials, triboelectrification, test methods for ESD materials, and ESD control program implementation.  He has received the Association’s Outstanding Contributions Award and the Joel P. Weidendorf Memorial Award for service to standards development.  David is currently serving as President of the ESD Association.

David Fellows is a Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer at BAE Systems in Endicott, NY. In 2006 he received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York At Buffalo. He contributes to several IPC committees for electronic assemblies.

Outside of work David enjoys running and playing hockey.

Dave Girard is currently an ESD Technical Consultant and owner of Staticon Support Services, Inc., located in Tampa, Florida. 

For the past few years, he has been deeply involved in the ESD standards development process.  He has supported numerous ESD Association Working Groups in addition to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and provided feedback to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on specifications containing ESD requirements. 

Dave previously ran the Honeywell Aerospace corporate ESD program in addition to the site ESD program in Clearwater, Florida.  Throughout his career, Dave has held various positions in Electronics Test, Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Quality Management. 

Dave has been a member of the ESD Association since 1987.  He has been an iNARTE Certified Electrostatic Discharge Engineer since 1995.  He is a senior member of both the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).  He is also ASQ certified in both Quality Engineering and Quality Auditing. 

Dave has a B.S.E. degree in Engineering from the University of South Florida.

David Kirk is currently a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Hologic, Inc. Newark, DE site; starting in 2008.  David holds a BSEE from Drexel University, and is currently working to establish a sound ESD program for manufacture of cutting edge mammography x-ray detectors, based on thin film transistor arrays on glass substrate.  Similar to the flat panel display industry, this process has many challenges for ESD control and mitigation.  David has recently joined WG-21 to further the science of ESD in flat panel technology.

David was formerly employed by Agilent and HP for a combined 31 years, where he was involved in new product design; test, and manufacturing engineering.

David and his wife have 3 sons, 3 daughters in law, and 5 grandchildren.  He enjoys playing several musical instruments, woodworking, and hiking-camping.

Dennis Corpuz

Dennis Corpuz serves as Manager at the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Centre (AMTC) of Venture Corporation Limited, headquartered in Singapore. He has over 25 years of engineering experience in electronics manufacturing which includes telecommunication equipment assembly and testing, hard disk drive motor assembly, and optoelectronics. His technical leadership has been instrumental in implementing ANSI/ESD S20.20 certification across Venture’s global manufacturing sites, enhancing ESD control systems and reliability standards.

Prior to joining Venture, he held engineering roles at Pacific Microwave Corporation, Philips Semiconductors, REMEC Broadband Wireless, and Nidec Corporation, contributing to advanced process development and test engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and has specialized training in Metrology, Cleanroom Management, and Equipment Engineering. He is an iNARTE Certified ESD Engineer, with a professional focus on standards compliance, process integrity, and continuous improvement in high-reliability electronics manufacturing.

Dennis Wells is a Reliability/Quality Engineer at MACOM Technology Solutions, a leading provider of high performance analog semiconductor solutions for use in radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter-wave applications headquartered in Lowell, MA. Along with being MACOM’s ESD Control Program Coordinator, he is responsible for qualifying compound semiconductor devices prior to new product release. 

Dennis graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and from the University of New Hampshire, Manchester/Durham, NH with a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Outside of work Dennis is an avid scuba diver. He enjoys road and mountain biking. He also is a semi-pro electric bassist.

DongSun Kim is an engineering fellow for LG Display. He is responsible for ESD control and defect analysis on the OLED manufacturing lines since 2005. Previously, he worked as a device engineer at LG Semiconductor since 1992, responsible for process integration including robust ESD design. Dongsun Kim received a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science Engineering from Korea University in Seoul, Korea.

His research interest is how to improve product yield including robust ESD circuit design/process and cost-effective line operation.
