What personal certifications does EOS/ESD Association, Inc. offer?

We offer a wide variety of personal certifications to meet your needs. For a complete list, please see Personal Certification on our website at https://www.esda.org/certification/.

Here are some of our most popular offerings.

    • Professional Program Manager

Intended for individuals involved in designing, implementing, managing, and auditing ESD control programs in their facilities.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/eosesd-association-professional-program-manager/.

    • ESD Compliance Verification Technician

Provides an understanding of ESD TR53-01-22, including but not limited to associated equipment, verification, test methods, and troubleshooting that may be used within an organization's ESD control program. ESD TR53-01-22 is an important document that supports and maintains static control programs designed around ANSI/ESD S20.20 Standard for the Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for Protection of Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment, and the European technically equivalent standard IEC 61340-5-1.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/eosesd-association-esd-compliance-verification-certification-to-tr53/.

    • ESD Control Program Auditor

Provides an understanding of the ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 standard and how its requirements provide a framework to control the risks of electrostatic discharge (ESD) within an organization. The certification teaches the knowledge and skills needed to successfully integrate ESD Control Program audits within an organization's quality management system internal audit program.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/esd-control-program-auditor-certification/.

    • ESD Program Associate

Provides the Basics of ESD, necessary fundamental information, the How To's of measurement and equipment, and a one-day S20.20 class to introduce control program basics and auditing.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/esd-program-associate-certification/.

    • Device Stress Testing

intended for individuals involved in ESD or Latch-Up stress testing ranging from qualification to TLP testing for ESD development. This certification ensures that a person has the latest information on the industry's ESD standards and an overview of the technical background to perform the tests or understand the testing results. In addition to learning the recommended test methodologies, a person is exposed to common pitfalls in interpreting the standards and applying these to the testing procedures used in the lab.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/eosesd-association-device-stress-testing/.

    • ESD for Circuit Design Engineers (ECEC 1)

Using industry-proven best practices, this curriculum gives the circuit design engineer the knowledge and skills to implement ESD protection circuits and latch-up mitigation on their integrated circuit (IC) designs.

For more detailed information, please visit https://www.esda.org/certification/esd-for-circuit-design-engineers-certification-ecec-1/.

How does my company become certified to ANSI/ESD S20.20?

If you want to have your facility certified to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014, our Facility Certification Program is what you need. An ESDA-accredited ISO9000 certified body that has met the requirements of this program conducts the audit. The individual certification bodies set the certification and auditing costs, so you must contact a certification body directly to inquire about pricing. However, they all follow the same auditing process defined by EOS/ESD Association, Inc. You can find a list of all EOS/ESD Association, Inc. accredited certification bodies at https://www.esda.org/certification/eosesd-association-esd-facility-certification/ansiesd-s20-20-accredited-certification-bodies/. You can find more detailed information about Facility Certification here https://www.esda.org/certification/eosesd-association-esd-facility-certification/.

If you want to design, implement, and maintain an ESD Control Program, we offer the seminar FC340: ESD Program Development and Assessment (ANSI/ESD S20.20). This seminar provides instruction on designing and implementing an ESD control program based on ANSI/ESD S20.20. The course provides participants with the tools and techniques to prepare for an ESD facility audit. Please note that this class DOES NOT certify you to ANSI/ESD S20.20. The seminar is available in-person (visit https://www.esda.org/events/ for upcoming offerings) or online (purchase access at https://www.esda.org/store/training-and-education/product/351/esd-program-development-and-assessment-ansiesd-s20-20-seminar-fc340).
