Doug Rogers currently manages the Skills Training program at Harris Government Communication Systems Division.  In his 28 years at Harris, Doug has been a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, and an Engineering Manager.  He is a past recipient of the Harris General Manager’s Award and Engineering Award.

He is a member if various IPC committees in the Assembly and Jointing and Product Assurance areas.

Doug received a BSIE from The University of Florida and an MS in Statistics from Georgia Tech.

Doug Miller received an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of New Mexico in 1994 and a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1982. During this time, he earned Alpha Phi Sigma and Sigma Pi Sigma Scholastic Membership.

From ‘85 to ‘91, he was employed by defense contractors BDM Corporation, BDMMSC, and UIE. During this time, he was fully engaged in strategic defense initiative projects, small business innovative research prototype development, electrical overstress analysis of weapon systems, and operation, maintenance, and testing of weapon systems.

In 1993, he joined the Pantex Plant work force as an employee for Battelle Memorial Institute, where he was responsible for developing and disseminating electrical safety policy, and evaluation of facilities, equipment, testers, and manufacturing processes in nuclear explosive safety areas. He developed and provided demonstrations to customers, as well, as training classes for engineers and technicians. He was a technical advisor to national study groups and management. Since working at the Pantex Plant, he has been awarded the Defense Programs Award of Excellence, the Pantex Scientific Advancement Award, and twice awarded the Pantex Key Contributor Award.

In 2001, he transitioned to BWXT Pantex as a Section Engineer, where he provided technical and management leadership for the nuclear explosive electrical safety program at Pantex. He mentored and managed Pantex electrical engineers on the art of nuclear weapon electrical safety. He provided policy interpretation, management system design and implementation, guidance to engineers and technicians, customer service, and informational briefings. He was a qualified voting nuclear explosive safety study group member. Also, he was an advisor or member in numerous nuclear explosive safety studies and DOE explosive safety committee meetings. He was a subject matter expert for nuclear explosive safety study groups, explosive safety committees, defense nuclear safety facility boards, and the DOE. He created, produced, and managed computer modeling, analysis, and approvals for electrical concerns in Nuclear Explosive Areas.

In 2004, he became a technical staff member for Sandia National Laboratories located at the Pantex Tri-Laboratory Office. There he functions as a quality engineer for nuclear weapons manufacturing, surveillance, assembly of flight test units, assembly of laboratory test units, and laboratory testing of test units for all of the nuclear weapons programs. Mr. Miller serves as a qualified voting nuclear explosive safety study group member and electrostatic discharge control management expert advisor for nuclear explosive safety studies.

Outside of work he enjoys supporting and working with grade school and high school children in sports, religion, and arts. Doug and his wife, Julie, have been married for 20 years and have four children, one in high school and three in grade school.

Eric Williams owns the company REIA Limited which is a manufacturer’s representative in Asia. He works out of his office in Japan where he has lived since 2001. He represents Desco Industries, PACE Incorporated and Trek Japan. He provides sales support and technical training to their distributors in most countries in Asia. He has a MA in Anthropology and a BA in Anthropology and Japanese. Prior to studying Anthropology he completed 3 years in mechanical engineering.

Fei Deng joined in TDK-SAE, working as an ESD control engineer/senior engineer/department manager for hard disk drive from 1998 to 2016. After that, he has been working for Canmax, as an ESD technical director, taking charge of Shenzhen Golden Key Consulting Company, which is subsidiary of Canmax.  Fei Deng graduated from Chongqing University with a Bachelor degree in 1996, and got his master degree from HIT in 2009.

Independent ESD Contractor/Consultant

Gary is an Independent ESD Contractor/Consultant who retired as a Senior Principal Engineer from Collins Aerospace (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) in 2025 after 27 years in Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Design Quality leadership positions.   Gary created and led the ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliant ESD Control Program for Rockwell Collins (which was acquired by United Technologies to form Collins Aerospace and subsequently merged with Raytheon Technologies to form RTX Corporation).  He was the ESD Program Manager and primary ESD Subject Matter Expert for Collins Aerospace, and led a group consisting of on-site ESD Coordinators from each location.  

Gary also developed and served as the Program Manager for the Collins AS9146 compliant FOD program.   Prior to his tenure at Collins, his experience included significant work in the hard disk drive industry where he held leadership positions in New Product Development/Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain Quality at Digital Equipment Corporation in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

He is now serving as an ESD and FOD contractor/consultant to the electronics and aerospace industries. 

Gary received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis College, and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Gary enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, hunting, and classic cars.

Gim-Wae is leading a team to manage the ESD control program across all manufacturing sites in
Malaysia and supporting plants and subcons in PRC.

He continuously broadens his knowledge and consciously reflects it on semiconductor processes, then
designs the plant-certifiable ESD control program. With that, ESD has become one of the key fields in the
company's expertise program, and Gim-Wae is leading it.

He was appointed to be specialised in ESD since he was a fresh graduate and has over 10 years of
working experience. Gim-Wae progressively acquires certification over his career journey that started as
an iNARTE associate engineer in 2009, an iNARTE Engineer in 2016, TR53 Technician in 2017, Program
Manager in 2022 and continues. He has several published presentations at the ESDA symposium and is a
member of the local organising committee (LOC).

He has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, graduated from the Engineering Council UK and is a
tutor in material engineering.

Gregory Larson is a Senior EMC Engineer on the Intel Corporate Services Technology Development Innovation team in Hillsboro, OR. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Portland, OR and then spent 11 years as a Shipboard Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer for the U.S. Navy specializing in Satellite Communications and whole ship EMC certification. Along the way an M.S. in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA was earned along with his sea legs! Joining Intel Corporation in 2017 shifted his EMC concentration from ships to chips specifically focusing on: ESD Controls and Process Assessments, Risk Assessment of intentional radiators, and Electric and Magnetic Field emissions. He is a certified ESD Program Manager and participant in ESDA process assessment and flooring working groups, member of IEEE EMC society with research papers as well as presentations to the local EMC chapter, and a member of the SEMI EMC task force. Enabling visualization of electromagnetic phenomenon through instrumentation and enhanced analysis has been his guiding principle throughout his career.

Greg O'Sullivan received his B.S.E.E. degree from Seattle University in 1994. His career has focused on various IC device testing roles. While with Micron Semiconductor Inc. Greg has worked in the Burn-in Test, Module Test, and Global Quality engineering groups. For the last 16 years he has focused on ESD and Latchup testing as the package test lab engineer and manager. He achieved iNARTE Certified ESD Engineer and ESDA Certified ESD Program Manager (2014) certifications and works on ESD yield issues, and overall improvement efforts for Micron's ESD factory controls program. He is a founding member of the Micron ESD Steering Committee, and is heavily involved with AEC, ESDA and JEDEC ESD and Latch-up industry working groups. He has authored and co-authored several papers on ESD related topics.

Henry has been employed by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) since 2018 working at NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC). He is responsible for the testing and failure analysis of mechanical and electrical parts for space flight hardware. He joined ESD certifying group at JSC in 2019 and was promoted to the NASA JSC ESD Control Program Manager for the ESD Test and Verification Office in 2020. He is responsible for ESD assessment and certification of JSC and contractor facilities that handle space flight hardware and critical ground support equipment

He has achieved the following ESD certifications:  iNARTE ESD Engineer,  Space & Defense ESD Program Manager, as well as EOS/ESD Association, Inc. ESD Program Manager.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of contamination control and  Static charge control in Cleanrooms . His expertise and experience lie in the field of cleanroom performance testing & certification, performance of ESDC testing & audits and the sales, service and selection of ESD products .

He has been actively involved in presenting papers & conducting training on Critical Environment(s) testing, ESD Controls and ESD Program Management to end users in a myriad of industries .Additionally he has contributed and published several technical articles on ESD and Cleanroom Testing .     

Academically, he has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA . Professionally he is a NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) Certified Cleanroom Performance Testing Professional (#3180) & iNARTE Certified ESD engineer (#328) .

Istvan Kovalik started his work in the field of ESD control in 2003. He has fallen in love with this topic and started to go deeper into it. He's been working as an ESD Coordinator at Harman since 2015, and is responsible for all aspects of ESD control in 3 facilities in his country.  He performs some volunteer work for ESDA and started to join to standardization works through IEC TC101 committee.

In his free time, Istvan likes pairing tasting notes and pairing cigars with whiskey or cognac.
