Read BiographyDesco Industries, Inc.Certified 2024I have always had a passion for science and chemistry since I was a kid, which is why I am so intrigued by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). I began my career in ESD at the age of 21 with Static Control Components, the largest employer in my small town in North Carolina at the time. We produced ESD bags and eventually evolved into ESD film laminations.
3M acquired the ESD Packaging Division. This transition introduced me to LEAN and Six Sigma process improvement and control.
Desco Industries acquired the 3M ESD line, and I was introduced to Sales. Working in sales allowed me to dedicate time to the ESD Association and join the Packaging Standards Working Group (WG11). My involvement with Standards helped me quickly transition into the Sales Management team at Desco Industries inc..

Read BiographySeagate TechnologyCertified 2005Kevin Duncan is an ESD Staff Engineer at Seagate Technology, Bloomington, MN. He has been employed at Seagate since 2005 and is responsible for controlling ESD in the Slider and Head Gimbal Assembly (HGA) processes.
Kevin has been a member of the ESD Association since 2000 and is currently a member of the ESDA Standards Committee, Technical and Administration Support Committee, and Working Group 9.0, Footwear.
Kevin graduated in 1998 from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, where here received his Bachelor of Science Degree.
