    Marko Simicic received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in electrical engineering and information technology from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. He obtained a PhD degree from the department of electrical engineering ESAT, KU Leuven, Belgium in 2018. In 2017 he joined the ESD team in imec, Belgium. His research in ESD includes device characterization and testing, tester development with focus on wafer-level CDM and ESD control with focus on heterogeneous integration. He has contributed to the works published by the ESDA CDM and TLP standards working groups. He has authored or co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences.

    Matt Banning is a Senior Quality Engineer at Rockwell Automation in Mayfield Heights, OH.  As part of the corporate Quality Management Systems group, he works to consolidate best practices and drive standardization across the organization. He has developed several enterprise-wide applications to support the quality management system.  Matt has also created the corporate ESD program for Rockwell, as well as, the internal training course for facility level ESD Coordinators. He leverages his role as an ISO 9001 lead auditor and audit program coordinator to ensure that the ESD program is effectively implemented.

    Matt is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), American Society for Quality (ASQ), and ESDA.

    Matt Jane is a Quality Engineer at Tesla, Inc. Initially he was working on the Model S and X Drive Unit production quality, where Inverters were a key responsibility. He was appointed ESD Program Manager for the company and is implementing the ESD control plan across the various manufacturing and service sites.

    With the ESDA TR53 and Professional Program Manager certifications acquired, Matt is now looking to get more involved in the ESD community specifically the areas of manufacturing and automotive applications.

    Prior to joining Tesla, Matt graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Communications) (Honors) and Bachelor of Computer Science.

    Outside of work Matt likes to snow ski, hang out with friends, listen to music, watch TV and travel.

    Matt is currently the ESD Program Manager for L3 Telemetry and RF Products in San Diego CA. He has been involved in the site ESD control since 2009 and in 2011 was named as the Chair for the L3 Communications Inc. ESD resource team.

    Matt joined the L3 Communications team in 1997 after retiring from 20 years of Naval service. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety from Columbia Southern University in 2013.

    Matt has been a member of the ESD Association since 2009 and is currently a Standards Committee Member and serves on several Standards Sub-committees.

    As a certified ESD Program Manager, Matt’s goal is to be able not only to strengthen his local divisions ESD control program, but to provide guidance and assistance to other divisions within L3 Communications in the development or strengthening of individual plant ESD controls and processes.

    After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona, Mike went to work in the Manufacturing Engineering Department at Hughes Aircraft Co. in Tucson, AZ where he became involved in the ESD protection business almost immediately. Over the years, and after a couple of purchases and mergers, his company is now known as Raytheon Technologies and Mike remains as the ESD site coordinator as well as the chair of Raytheon’s Corporate ESD Council. Mike has now been a participant in the progression and maturity of the ESD program both in Tucson, and at Raytheon, for several decades.

    Mike believes that by becoming a Professional ESD Program Manager, it shows both a personal and Company commitment to maintaining a focus on ESD as a major concern in the defense and aerospace industry.

    Outside of work, Mike spends time with his wife and their two French Bulldogs and enjoys hunting, fishing, running, weightlifting, and building/modifying high performance cars.

    Michael Schumacher received his BSEE in 1986 from California State University Long Beach. He has worked in the USA for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Southern California Edison, and Purvis Systems. In Europe he has worked for ABB, Elcoteq, and Enics, all in Turgi, Switzerland. Over the years he has held positions in semiconductor research, systems engineering, test engineering, microprocessor technique instruction, technology management, life cycle project management, supply chain management, and ESD coordination. Currently, he is the strategic buyer/supply quality manager for PCBs, and ESD coordinator for Enics Switzerland.

    Michael has been active with ESD topics since 1994 and a member of the ESDA since 2010. He received his iNARTE ESD Technician certification in 2012. He is active in many IEEE societies (CPMT, ED and the Reliability Society) and is one of the authors of the IEEE standard on PHM (Prognostics and Health Management). His hobbies include skiing, running and family research.

    Minh Do is currently the NASA/JPL Level A Instructor, Master IPC Trainer, and ESD Coordinator at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.  He has an MBA in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management.  Minh is an iNARTE Certified ESD Engineer.  He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and received multiple ASQ Certifications:  Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Quality Process Analyst, and Quality Inspection.

    Minh is an active member of both NASA and IPC Workmanship Technical Committees. He is a Certified Master IPC Trainer for various workmanship standards: IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and IPC-J-STD-001. He accomplished the translation work with IPC for the IPC-A-610 VN, a Vietnamese version of IPC-A-610 Standard.
