WG 25.0 – Charged Board Events (CBE)

ESD TR25.0.02 was completed and released. Now what should we work on next”? WG will go dormant for one year, although members were asked to keep CBE in mind and capture any information on the subject for future meetings. The next WG meeting will be during the September 2024 meeting series in association with the Symposium.

The WG focused on the review and adjudication of the TAS comments for ESD TR25.0-02 “Charged Board Event (CBE) Characterization Methods for Electronic Assemblies” document.

The WG focused on reviewing and adjudicating the TAS comments for WIP TR25.0-02 “Charged Board Event (CBE) Characterization Methods for Electronic Assemblies” document. Most comments were addressed before the meeting; however, a number had to be discussed during this meeting series. Changes will be made and sent to the writing team for another review before the document is sent to TAS for review.

The working group finished updates to a new technical report ESD TR25.0-02. The document will be sent to TAS for review.

The working group discussed challenges with medical devices that may experience charged board events. Additional data will be collected to share with the working group during the June meeting series.

Summary of meeting activities:

The working group reviewed the status of a new CBE test method technical report. The document has been updated based on comments collected from WG members. The document will be distributed between meeting series for another round of WG review including a new Summary section.
