WG 22.0 - ESD Foundry and IPESD Parameters

Summary of meeting activities:

The committee reviewed a draft of revisions to ESD TR22.0-02-18. Also, alignment on tasks and timeline for next steps of an update to ESD TR22.0-01-14.

A presentation was given on suggested updates to ESD TR22.0-01. A disucussion was held on possibly adding D2D interface content to ESD TR22-02.

The working group continued reviewing ESD TR22-01 and ESD TR22-02.

The agenda is:

• Introduction
• Review of TR22-001 update draft 
• Discussion on IP standard deliveries, impact of D2D, consequences for update of TR22-002 

The WG reviewed TR22.0.01-23 (2^nd revision of TR22.0.01-14), noting the status and comments and corrections made. There was also a discussion of possible work on TR22.0,02-18. There was also another discussion of potential future activities for the WG:

• EDM content.
• Alignment with WG18 (EDA tools).
• Design rules related to margins.
• Transients and characterizations related to time.

The committee continued discussing updates to ESD TR22.0-01 and ESD TR22.0-02. A proposed tutorial was also reviewed.

The committee formed task teams to begin updating the currently published technical reports ESD TR22.0-01 and ESD TR22.0-02.

The group discussed adding latch-up and system level considerations, standardizing marking concept to facilitate SoC level verification of 3rd party IP, and adding examples of design problems faced in the past to the next revision of TR 22.0-02.

The committee reviewed slides, discussed platforms, and decided to create a tutorial to promote ESD TR22.0-01-14 and ESD TR22.0-02-18.

The working group reviewed technical advisory and support committee comments on a new technical report, ESD TR22.0-02-1x. The document is expected to be published before the April meeting series. There were additional discussions on creating customer presentations and promoting both technical reports.

The working group worked on the alignment of chapter 2 sequencing of paragraphs and content. Further work on Chapters 3-5 will be done between meeting series. The group also discussed the online industry survey currently being distributed.

The committee discussed a proposed mission and scope for a new technical report. The WG also started creating a new industry survey addressing the specific content of a technical report on ESD parameters for IP blocks.
