Matt Jane is a Staff Quality Engineer & ESD Program Manager at Tesla who works with global manufacturing and supply chain operations to provide ESD control technical consultation. Matt believes in data driven and sustainable solutions, promoting a culture of honesty, trust, and growth.
Matt has developed Tesla’s ESD Control Program from the ground up resulting in improved yields, customer satisfaction, and factory safety, while saving Tesla millions; these achievements have earned him various performance awards from Tesla’s Quality Department.
Matt is an ESDA Certified TR53 Technician and Professional Program Manager who is currently a member of Standard Working Groups (WG4, WG11, WG20, and WG53), ESDA Symposium’s Manufacturing Track Committee (MTC), TR53 Certification Committee, and Technical and Advisory Support (TAS) Committee. He is also a member of the Silicon Valley ESDA Associated Group.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Communications) and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He served as Chief Engineer of the University’s electric racecar team taking first place in the Formula SAE-A Competition, and was awarded 1st Place - Most Innovative Final Year Student Design Award for the School of Engineering.
