Working with
a manufacturer, Turangan co-developed, alpha-tested, and implemented
a continuous data collection and real-time ESD monitoring system (including
static field, wriststraps, tool grounding, and ionization).
With the same
manufacturer and an ionizer company, Turangan also helped to develop
a feedback loop system that provides consistently balanced ionization
of less than one volt at the proximity sensor.
Personal
information, interests, and hobbies
Turangan is
the father of two sons and grandfather of five and has been happily
“married to the same lady” for 40 years. He enjoys traveling,
teaching and training others, and playing chess.
Benefits
of being an ESDA volunteer
According to
Turangan participating as “a member of the standards group and
the ESDA” has given him the opportunity “to learn and
share new technologies of testing and developing world-wide standards
and methods and even tools. . . in developing better protection or
prevention” for the benefit of suppliers and customers alike,
which results in a better quality of products.
