IEW Discussions groups
In every conference and symposia, there will be workshops and tutorials. In a typical workshop like IEW, we will have seminars, special interest groups and, most excitingly, discussion groups.
Discussion groups are the ideal setup and place to meet and discuss with industry experts on major topics of high importance. Every company and individual has a different set of problems in terms of ESD at any given point of time. At the same time, almost all companies and individuals are constantly ‘hounded’ by very many similar problems. The emphasis and goal of the discussion groups in IEW is to literarily discuss these pressing present problems and potential future problems. These discussions can be, for instance, an attempt using a set of data from the implementation of a given protection methodology in one company and its comparison to industry-wide practices. It might as well be on how to design new or suitable ESD test structures for a given application or technology node.
Format of the workshop
The format of IEW workshops is very simple – the participants basically run the show. The experts from the industry are there to answer your questions. The IEW organizing committee is proud to inform you that we will get experts in the discussion group who will go the extra mile to help you, without sacrificing their IP privacy commitments.
Since discussion groups require audience participation, we would like you to come prepared. We would like to know your expectations so that we can do the best to meet that. So, it is your turn – come and let us know what you want to discuss.
Discussion groups will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and are a very important part of the Workshop. Two very interesting discussion groups are offered on each evening. Each discussion group is assigned a pair of moderators who have extensive experience with the topic and will help to guide the discussion. However, the actual discussion flow will be at the discretion of those participating in each group. Everyone is encouraged to bring along data and/or ideas to share on topics that are of particular interest.
